Hamas has reportedly provided Egyptian mediators with an initial list of hostages who could be included in a potential deal, according to a report from the London-based Qatari newspaper Al-Araby Al-Jadeed on Monday. The list is said to contain the names of four American citizens, along with elderly hostages and those in need of medical care.

In addition to the hostages, Hamas also submitted a separate list of Palestinian prisoners, signaling the possibility of a larger prisoner exchange as part of the negotiations. This development comes after a Hamas delegation, led by senior official Khalil al-Hayya, visited Cairo on Sunday to advance the discussions on a possible hostage deal, which is reportedly in its "advanced stage."

As the talks continue, an Israeli delegation is also expected to travel to Cairo to participate in the discussions, further indicating the progress being made in the negotiations. On Saturday, the Saudi-owned news outlet Asharq Al-Awsat reported that Hamas was in the process of confirming the number of living Israeli hostages held by Hamas and other groups in the Gaza Strip.
