In a significant counterterrorism operation, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), Shin Bet, and Border Police eliminated nine armed terrorists in the Jenin area of the West Bank over the past two days, the IDF announced on Thursday. The operation, aimed at neutralizing terror threats, resulted in the successful removal of individuals linked to recent attacks on military posts and Israeli communities.

According to the IDF, three of the terrorists were eliminated by Israeli Air Force (IAF) aircraft, including individuals responsible for recent shooting attacks on Israeli military posts and civilian communities. Following the airstrike, multiple secondary explosions were observed, suggesting the presence of significant weapon caches in the area.

The other six terrorists were neutralized during a firefight between IDF forces, the Yamas special police unit, and Border Police. These individuals were reportedly involved in recent attacks against IDF soldiers using both firearms and explosives.

Seizing Weapons and Dismantling Terrorist Infrastructure

In addition to eliminating the terrorists, Israeli security forces dismantled four explosives laboratories and neutralized dozens of improvised explosives that were intended to target Israeli military personnel. The operation also led to the capture of several suspects involved in terrorist activities. All seized weapons and detained individuals have been transferred to the Israeli Security Agency (ISA) for further investigation.

The IDF reported that no injuries were sustained by Israeli forces during the operation, marking a successful and coordinated effort to combat terrorism in the region.
