Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) showcased its groundbreaking collaboration with Azerbaijan's Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA) during an expert panel at COP29 in Baku on Saturday. This partnership, centered on international collaboration and digital transformation, aims to integrate cutting-edge technologies into global markets while prioritizing sustainability.
Dani Paslev, Regional Director at IAI, represented Israel in the discussion, while Salar Imamaliyev, Advisor to the Chairperson at IDDA, highlighted the potential of this partnership in driving technological advancements. IAI’s expertise in aerospace and defense technology combines with Azerbaijan’s innovative ecosystem to create market-ready solutions that support long-term growth and environmental sustainability.
The panel emphasized how this collaboration contributes to global efforts in sustainable practices, with a particular focus on the development of smart city technologies.
“We believe that sustainability and business growth can go hand in hand, driving impactful solutions for the world,” said Paslev. The partnership is also exploring how IAI’s geospatial analytics platforms, typically used in defense, can be adapted to promote sustainable urban development.
Salar Imamaliyev further emphasized that this collaboration not only strengthens the ties between IAI and IDDA but also reflects a mutual commitment to leveraging technology for sustainability and long-term global progress.
