Witnesses reported seeing over a dozen Israeli air strikes on Hezbollah positions all over the southern neighborhoods of Beirut overnight Monday, following an open statement the IDF’s Arabic-language spokesman Lt. Col. Avichay Adraee post saying that residents of several buildings in Beirut’s southern suburbs needed to evacuate because these buildings are “located near facilities and interests belonging to Hezbollah.”

The IDF recently announced that it is going to physically destroy buildings and other infrastructure that Hezbollah uses to store currency, gold and other financial assets. The goal of this campaign is to deny Hezbollah the ability to use financial assets to continue waging war on Israel. This especially includes the Hezbollah linked financial firm Al-Qard Al-Hassan

The IDF is also continuing to strike Hezbollah military assets and on Tuesday morning announced that they'd struck Hezbollah's naval base in Beirut, along with weapons storage facilities, command centers and firing positions.

Unit 127, the Hezbollah unit responsible for launching suicide drones into Israel, has also been struck multiple times in the last 24 hours.

Hezbollah, meanwhile, has launched dozens of rockets into Israel over the course of the day, causing damage and starting several fires.

The IDF issued an estimate Monday evening that 70% of Hezbollah's rockets have been destroyed and over 2,000 of its fighters have been eliminated since the war began, most of them in the last two months.
