A 19-year-old resident of Nazareth, Mohammad Saadi, was arrested in November for allegedly transferring sensitive information to Hezbollah during the ongoing war. According to the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) and Israel Police, Saadi had been in contact with Hezbollah for several years, even expressing a desire to join the terrorist group.
The investigation revealed that Saadi had been in communication with Hezbollah-affiliated network Al-Manar, offering to provide photographs and videos, including those captured during the war. He is also accused of sharing critical intelligence regarding the locations of rocket crashes, aircraft movements, and IDF positions.
On Thursday, the Northern District Prosecutor's Office filed charges against Saadi for "contact with a foreign agent." This case highlights ongoing concerns about Hezbollah’s infiltration efforts and the security risks posed by individuals providing assistance to the group.
Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) continue to target Hezbollah infrastructure. On Wednesday, the IDF destroyed an underground Hezbollah tunnel in southern Lebanon that had been used for storing weapons and coordinating terror activities. The tunnel, which spanned dozens of meters, led to one of Hezbollah’s headquarters and was reportedly used to direct rocket attacks targeting Israeli communities in the Galilee.
The IDF discovered significant military equipment in the tunnel, including hundreds of explosive devices, rifles, grenades, and other weapons. The weapons were seized, and the headquarters were destroyed during the operation, carried out by the elite Yahalom unit.
The military emphasized that its operations in southern Lebanon would continue, targeting Hezbollah's military infrastructure while adhering to the terms of the ceasefire with Lebanon.
