Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, made a bold statement on Friday, warning that any violation of Iran’s security by the United States would result in reciprocal action. "If they threaten us, we will threaten them. If they actuate that threat, we will actuate ours. If they violate our nation’s security, we will violate their security without a doubt," Khamenei declared.
The comments came in the wake of US President Donald Trump's controversial proposal to relocate Palestinians from Gaza, a move that Khamenei rejected, calling it an extension of Israel’s alleged efforts to "wipe out the Palestinian people." Khamenei also criticized past negotiations with the US, labeling them as "not smart, wise or honorable."
Meanwhile, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have taken delivery of a new ship capable of launching drones and helicopters at sea. The ship, a converted commercial vessel named Shahid Beheshti, is equipped with a 180-meter runway and can operate without refueling for up to a year. The addition of the new vessel is seen as a strategic step in boosting Iran's defense and deterrence capabilities.
The United States has been actively involved in negotiations with Iran, particularly concerning the 2015 nuclear deal, from which Trump withdrew in 2018. Despite Tehran’s warnings, the US continues to push forward with its nuclear diplomacy. In addition to military developments, Iran has rejected Trump's recent proposal regarding Gaza, calling for the UN and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to take a clear stance against it.
