Mike Huckabee, President-elect Donald Trump's nominated U.S. ambassador to Israel, made a powerful statement reaffirming America's unwavering support for Israel during his speech at the One Israel Fund’s 30th anniversary gala this week. Huckabee assured the crowd that Israel would never stand alone in its fight for freedom, saying, "You will never be alone again in your fight for freedom and to preserve the country and the land and the heritage that God gave you."

Huckabee’s remarks came amid discussions with prominent Israeli leaders, including Israel Gantz, head of the Binyamin Council, and the chairman of the Yesha Council. Gantz highlighted the positive direction of U.S.-Israel relations under President Trump, describing the senior U.S. officials he met with as “true partners of the State of Israel.” Gantz emphasized their dedication to policies rooted in truth, particularly regarding Israel's right to the Land of Israel and eradicating the axis of evil.

Gantz also engaged with senior U.S. officials to discuss the future of Judea and Samaria. Gantz shared with The Jerusalem Post that the U.S. is showing a level of support not seen in previous years. "They are capable of promoting a policy based on truth in which the Land of Israel belongs to the people of Israel," he said.

Meanwhile, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, in an interview with Bloomberg, discussed the prospects of a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. He stressed the importance of concentrating efforts to prevent the conflict from escalating into a broader war involving Hezbollah, Iran, and other Iranian-aligned groups. Blinken emphasized that Hamas is now aware that "the cavalry is not coming to the rescue" and that it must come to terms with the situation.

Blinken also reflected on the challenges of providing humanitarian aid to Gaza, acknowledging the complex situation in the region. He reiterated the U.S. commitment to ensuring the well-being of Palestinian civilians while supporting Israel’s right to defend itself against Hamas. Blinken expressed hope that a ceasefire and the return of hostages would bring immediate improvements for Palestinians affected by the conflict.

Additionally, Blinken mentioned the significant progress in the Abraham Accords and the potential for future normalization of relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia. He noted that the U.S. administration is prepared to continue these efforts, with the hope that the next administration would carry the initiative forward.
