A stabbing attack in Hadera today has left six people injured, with two in critical condition and three in serious condition. The attack occurred across four different locations in the city, with the assailant targeting civilians before attempting to flee on a scooter.

The attacker, identified as Ahmad Jabarin, a 36-year-old Israeli-Arab from Umm al-Fahm, was neutralized by armed civilians and police after they cornered him on Herbert Samuel Street. Despite attempting to resist, he was shot in the leg and subdued.

The Israeli Police confirmed the incident as a terror attack after initially suspecting otherwise. The city of Hadera is currently under lockdown, with security forces blocking all entry and exit points as they search for possible accomplices involved in the attack. Hadera Mayor Nir Ben Haim has instructed all schools and kindergartens to keep students indoors until the situation is fully under control.

The victims, ranging in age from 30 to 70, were transported to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center. MDA paramedics provided life-saving treatment at the scene before evacuating the wounded to the hospital. The attack has intensified security concerns, especially in light of the recent wave of violence amid ongoing tensions in the region.
