A senior U.S. official has revealed that Iran is planning to launch a missile attack on Israel in the immediate future, as tensions rise following the IDF’s ground operations in southern Lebanon. This alarming announcement comes amidst heightened security measures across Israel.
The IDF spokesperson, Brig. Gen. Daniel Hagari, confirmed that the American government has informed Israel of these indications, although no missiles have been launched yet. He reassured the public, stating, “We have dealt with such threats before and will continue to handle them responsibly. Follow the Home Front Command's instructions—it saves lives.”
Prime Minister Netanyahu addressed the nation, urging citizens to remain calm and united: “We are facing great challenges, but together we will stand strong, fight, and prevail.”
In response, the U.S. has dispatched three fighter squadrons to the region to support Israel's defense preparations. The Israeli government has tightened security measures, updating Home Front Command guidelines to restrict gatherings and activities in various regions until further notice.
The recent tensions follow Iran's threats to retaliate for a series of military actions attributed to Israel, including the assassination of senior Hamas and Hezbollah leaders.
