In the latest escalation along Israel’s northern border, approximately 65 rockets were fired from Lebanon towards Kiryat Shmona and other Upper Galilee communities in the last 24 hours. According to the IDF spokesperson, several of the rockets were intercepted by air defense systems, while others landed in open areas, causing fires in Kiryat Shmona.
Firefighting teams are actively working to control the blazes, while the IDF has launched retaliatory strikes on Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon. This attack marks another chapter in the ongoing tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, as northern Israel continues to be a target of rocket fire from Lebanon.
The situation remains fluid, with Israeli defense forces on high alert. Citizens in affected areas have been advised to remain near protected spaces, as further rocket fire is possible. The IDF has stated it will continue to take necessary action to defend Israel's sovereignty and ensure the safety of its citizens.
