The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) Arabic Spokesperson, Col. Avichay Adraee, issued an urgent evacuation warning for residents in northern Gaza, particularly in Beit Hanoun, on Saturday. This comes in the wake of two rockets fired from Gaza towards Jerusalem, which triggered sirens in Jerusalem and Shfela areas.

The IDF confirmed that the rockets launched from Beit Hanoun were successfully intercepted by the Israeli Air Force (IAF), preventing any damage or casualties in the affected areas. In response to the heightened threat, the IDF advised civilians in northern Gaza to evacuate to safer locations.

Earlier in the day, additional rocket fire from Gaza activated sirens in the southern Israeli communities of Mefalsim and Nir Am near the Gaza border. Thankfully, Magen David Adom (MDA) reported that there were no injuries from these rocket attacks.

Alongside these developments, the IDF continued its operational activities in the region, including the dismantling of a significant Hezbollah tunnel in southern Lebanon. The tunnel, which was used to hide a terrorist hideout belonging to Hezbollah's Radwan Force, was destroyed in collaboration with the engineering forces. The operation also uncovered a stockpile of weapons, including rifles, machine guns, anti-tank missiles, and explosives, which were confiscated and destroyed.

The ongoing operations in Gaza and southern Lebanon reflect the IDF’s commitment to maintaining security and eliminating terrorist threats.
